1941 horror traditional The Wolf Man will get a chilling reboot in director Leigh Whannell’s (2020’s The Invisible Man) Wolf Man.
Christopher Abbott (Sanctuary, Poor Issues) stars because the titular Wolf Man — however earlier than he undergoes his horrific transformation, he is simply San Francisco household man Blake. Blake inherits his childhood residence in rural Oregon after his father goes lacking and is presumed useless. When he takes his spouse Charlotte (Julia Garner — Condo 7A, Inventing Anna) and his daughter Ginger (Matilda Firth) to go to the property, they’re attacked by an unseen animal — or monster? — and are compelled to gap up in the home as their attacker attracts ever nearer.
However that is not all this household has to fret about. Blake’s accidents by the hands of this unknown beast have left him contaminated and on the point of metamorphosis. Try the total trailer to see the beginnings of his gnarly transformation (and a very spooky truck-based bounce scare).
The Wolf Man hits theaters Jan. 17.
