Do you keep in mind what the audition course of was like for Gray’s Anatomy?

Let me let you know, I nearly did not even learn for it as a result of I had been in LA for eight years, and the Gray’s Anatomy workplace was the toughest workplace to get into as a result of everyone needed to be on that present. And I used to be by no means seen. By no means. I by no means had an audition. After which I moved to New York, and I get a taped audition for it. And, again then, I am like, Nobody watches tapes. And I did not know anybody in New York. I referred to as the one lady that I knew. I used to be like, “Woman, if you happen to can movie this by 9 a.m. tomorrow, I can ship it in; if not, like, I am simply not gonna do it.” Fortunately, she was out there. We threw it on tape after which forgot about it. 

Then, two weeks later, they referred to as me in and requested me to return in to play Levi. And at that time, it was only a one-episode visitor spot factor. After which it was eight years of, you already know, a few of the most impactful storytelling we may have executed. However I nearly did not do it. I used to be like, There isn’t any manner they’re gonna rent this awkward, skinny child for Gray’s Anatomy, the place it is all, like, scorching males. No manner!

It is wild to do not forget that Levi did not even are available in as an intern at first, too. 

I used to be a med scholar. I wasn’t even hooked up to the factor.
