Some Slack customers are discovering that their notifications aren’t displaying up on the platform this morning, or that their corresponding messages are more durable to seek out than regular. A number of of my colleagues are reporting comparable points on The Verge’s Slack channels, and I’ve been receiving repeated notifications for thread messages that I’ve already marked as learn. The problems additionally appear to be affecting tags for different customers — if a colleague hasn’t responded to your pings, DM them immediately for now.
Slack is conscious that “notifications could also be lacking for some customers” and logged an incident report at 7:52AM ET immediately, later confirming that the problem is impacting threads. “We’re at the moment investigating the problem and we’ll be again when we’ve extra data,” Slack introduced on its standing web page. “We’re sorry for any interruption to your day.”
It’s unclear what’s inflicting the disruption to notifications or what number of Slack customers have been impacted. There’s a visual spike on Downdetector, however only a few experiences have been logged.
