THE DISTRICT
This district covers components of La Crosse and Trempealeau counties. It consists of the cities of Galesville and Onalaska, and the villages of Ettrick, Holmen and West Salem, together with a part of the north facet of La Crosse. It’s a toss-up district.
THE NUTSHELL
Incumbent Rep. Steve Doyle, D-Onalaska, faces a rematch in opposition to Republican Ryan Huebsch, of Onalaska, within the Nov. 5 election. Huebsch misplaced to Doyle by solely 756 votes in 2022. Doyle has represented the 94th District since 2011. He has served on a number of bipartisan legislative job forces, together with one on suicide prevention.
Huebsch is endorsed by the La Crosse County sheriff, Wisconsin Proper to Life, the NRA and a number of state senators and representatives. His father, Mike Huebsch, beforehand represented the 94th District for 16 years, served as Meeting speaker and served in Gov. Scott Walker’s cupboard.
The district is one to look at as Democrats attempt to win an Meeting majority.
