THE DISTRICT

Meeting District 95 consists of the northern half of La Crosse and stretches eastward to cowl Sparta and Norwalk. It’s a probably Democratic seat.

THE NUTSHELL

Incumbent Rep. Jill Billings, D-La Crosse, faces a problem from Republican Cedric Schnitzler within the Nov. 5 election. Billings is favored to win because of the partisan composition of the district.

Billings served on the La Crosse County Board for eight years earlier than assuming legislative workplace in 2011. She has targeted on supporting paid household medical go away, Medicaid enlargement and environmental safety in La Crosse. She supported Gov. Tony Evers’ funding will increase for Ok-12 public colleges and little one care.

Schnitzler is a lifelong Monroe County resident, raised by his mother, a manufacturing unit employee, and his dad, a roofer. He has served on the county board for 30 years and is now the Monroe County Board chair. He emphasizes tax cuts for working households, environmental safety and rural broadband enlargement.
