For context, the tagline of the marketing campaign is “Sydney Sweeney has nice denims,” and, as is explicitly identified, the entire thing is a play on Sydney’s “nice genes.” Some folks have taken problem with the glorification of Sydney’s genetics as a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, white lady, accusing AE of selling eugenics and “white supremacy.”
