And let me let you know — that creepy ass doll was my nightmare for the subsequent 6 years of my life. And on account of this, horror to me was a style full of scary wanting ghosts, jumpscares, extremely loud and eerie background music with no precise story to it — simply ghosts deciding to hang-out random (white) individuals in large suburban homes.
And this led to me avoiding all horror motion pictures and even something close to it. Within the course of, I unknowingly skipped previous all the nice cinematic work that I discovered about a lot later— Silence In The Lambs, The Sixth Sense, and The Babadook, for example.
